Fitness and Nutrition are two of the most overlooked and undervalued disciplines in our society today. There are few things that affect the quality and quantity of a person’s life more than your activity and eating habits.
Higher Tactics’ approach to treigning in these disciplines is based off a three-tiered system:
BIBLE:
God’s Word is the purpose behind Higher Tactics entire philosophy.
Before any training regimen the soul of the individual should be centered. Any compromise in character and integrity in their spiritual development compromises the physical capabilities of any individual.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the person of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
In order to develop and understand how the body works, or as Paul states, “equipped for every good work” you have to first and foremost look to the Creator of the body. The Word of God allows Higher Tactics to look at a human as the most magnificent machine that was ever created.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Nothing can measure up to first-person encounters with the physical world. So Higher Tactics takes on the Golden Rule of treating others as you would like to be treated. In other words, train your client as you would train yourself. You will never be put through a workout routine that has not been tried or tested personally. Familiarity is always a trainer’s best friend. Understanding of the intensity and duration of the exercises ensures that no one will be pushed beyond a safe level of overload.
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
Over the past 500 years science has been the driving force to understanding how intricate the body’s systems functions together to accomplish “work”. To ignore science and its progression would be more than ignorant. However, corporations looking to make a profit on the findings sponsor a majority of science and sports performance research that is published. As a result, consumers must differentiate between true science and profit-induced research.
It is important to note things will work from the bottom to the top in terms of application within Higher Tactics. A tremendous amount of research, repetition, and reflection is done to ensure that proper exercise prescription is implemented. To discount any of the three would prove fatal in both the physical and spiritual development of an individual.
THE BEST OF BOTH
1 Timothy 4:8 states that “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
Higher Tactics takes the stance that what is true in the spiritual is true in the natural. You can and should never separate the two in any setting. The aim is to develop both simultaneously as you train to reign in every aspect of your life.
